  1. Way to get the previous read post

When reading with "Show new" selected. Making a misstake can make it hard find the previous post.
    Example:
    * Reading a feed with "Show new" active.
    * About half of the alticles are read, the second half is unread.
    * The user makes a mistake (close the browser, clicks a bookmark).
    * The only way to get back to the article would be switching to "Show all" and scrolling past all the previusly read post to find the last read post.

  3. Ability to mute feeds

Sometimes I get fed up with the number entries that show up in my account each day, particularly from certain high-volume feeds.

I'm still interested in their content, but sometimes I just want a break.

I don't want to unsubscribe from the feeds because I don't want to lose the feed URLs.

I wish there was a way to mute feeds (marking them as read so they don't show up in the "Latest" section or my client).

I would also love an optional time period for which the feeds should un-mute themselves (so that I don't have to remember to…

  5. Add "batch" edit (.. just like Google Reader had)

Google Reader had under Settings a section to do changes to multiple feeds at the same time. For example, allowing to select multiple feeds at the same time and move them a different folder. That section in google reader also allowed to edit feed tittles to multiple feeds at the same time. Really missing that feature from google reader

  6. Universal article sharing/bookmarking via "URL schemes"

Google Reader allowed to add new sharingbookmarking services with a generic configuration option:

    Name: bit.ly
    URL: http://bit.ly/?v=3&u=${url}&s=${title}
    Icon URL: http://bit.ly/static/images/favicon.png

This would end all requests for adding another one of the 1727 bookmarking/sharing services in use somewhere around the globe.

  7. Desktop notifications

I would very much like to have desktop notifications, just like Gmail does on Chrome and Safari (Firefox will be able to do that in a couple of months too). Inoreader has this, Feedly also via a Chrome add-on. To me this is crucial because it allows me to be away from the browser writing or reading and yet I know when a new feed article comes in. Could you please do that? I hope it is feasible.

  8. Set view by folder/feed

One feature that I would like to see that other services have is the ability to set a view on the folder and feed level that can differ from other folders.

In my case I would like to set latest to be expanded view but would like it if when I go directly to a folder or feed that it always load in list view. This makes it much easier for me when I need to go back and find an older article.

  9. Unread count like in Google Reader

Now: Unread count in a right-aligned column. Difficult to read quickly.
Better: Number between parentheses appended to feed title, in grey colour.

  10. Change Intervall

I would like to have certain feeds updated only every 24h or always at X o'clock.
A separate setting option per feed would be good here.

  11. Allow hiding feeds from "Latest"

As per your suggestion in https://bazqux.uservoice.com/forums/190752-general/suggestions/40967908-ability-to-disable-feeds, it would be great to be able to hide particularly noisy feeds from the "Latest" auto-stream.

  14. Delete Folders with or without Deleting Subscriptions

When you delete a folder, all subscriptions in it will be deleted, too.

It would be nice to be able to choose whether to delete only the folder (tag) or to delete all its subscriptions at the same time - depending on situation, I might want one or the other.

  16. i'd like like to see amount of subscribers to a feed

I know in a blog post you said it was distracting when looking for feeds to see the number of subscribers, but I think it would be a good idea because it helps you find the right feed faster. If you were searching for something, and a double feed popped up, but one had 3 subscribers, and another have 3,000, you would know which is the right one instead of having to go and verify.

  17. Customizable refresh rate (update schedule) for a particular feed

Add an option to customize (mostly to increase) timeout between content retrieval for a particular feed.
Use case: high volume feed results in frequent portions of posts (likely few times a day); with less frequent retrieval it's easier to get more posts to read them in one sitting and have it in clear (all read) state for a longer period of time.

  18. Is there a way (or 3rd party app/service) so I can archive everything (or specific feeds) elsewhere?

I'd like to choose specific feeds in Bazqux and have the posts auto archive to some other service (since you have a 500 item limit). Is there a way to do this?

  19. Ability to disable feeds

I have a lot of feeds and not a lot of time. I have a few tagged with "Must read" but there are a bunch that I only want to look at occasionally or rarely.

Rather than wasting resources fetching them all the time, is it possible to create a special tag/folder called "Disabled" and I can keep feeds I don't want to regularly read from in there. This way those feeds won't constantly be fetched.

  20. Auto read 'old' items

I only want to read 'current' items on some sites / folders, especially news sites for example. It would be great if per feed I could set BazQux to auto read posts that are older than a determined set amount.

So in my news folder anything older than 1 day would be auto read as it's old news and I don't want to read it / would have seen it on twitter etc.

However items in my personal development folder would never be auto read as I want to read them when time allows.

Items in my mobile tech news…

It’s possible with time-based filters. Search for
    time:[now-1w *]
    or
    time:[now-1d *]
in your feed and click “New filter” => “Show found items only”

For more search options you could look into “Search hints” section of Help.
