Auto read 'old' items
I only want to read 'current' items on some sites / folders, especially news sites for example. It would be great if per feed I could set BazQux to auto read posts that are older than a determined set amount.
So in my news folder anything older than 1 day would be auto read as it's old news and I don't want to read it / would have seen it on twitter etc.
However items in my personal development folder would never be auto read as I want to read them when time allows.
Items in my mobile tech news would auto read after 7 days as I probably won't read it now anyway.
The idea is that this will make the amount of news to read more 'live' and relevant, making it more likely that I will read through it.
It’s possible with time-based filters. Search for
time:[now-1w *]
or
time:[now-1d *]
in your feed and click “New filter” => “Show found items only”
For more search options you could look into “Search hints” section of Help.

There is a drop down menu in "Mark all as read" button with options to mark posts older than a day/week/... as read. Not an automatic but at least something.

Man, that is a feature I sure would like. I spend so much time marking my some of my verbose feeds as read ...
