Filter out short Twitter replies
Twitter can be a great source for opinions and reading links. However sometimes you have many uninteresting short replies like:
"@astridislief @wolterkroes1 Yeah! #manytags #blablabla"
I want to filter them out. Better yet, I want to filter out all replies. But how to do that?
These kind of tweets can be recognised by the fact that there are more mentions and tags (counted by characters) that the actual text (in this example "Yeah!").
If there was some filter option like ("more mentions/tags than text") then I could use that to filter out most tweet noise ....

Option to hide Starred Items and Tags from left navigation column
I don't use starred items and tags so it takes up some valuable real estate at the top of the left panel.

Restrict 'Mark as Read' to Button
At the moment it is possible to mark an article as read by clicking in the body of the article. This can lead to articles being marked as read accidentally and without realising.
It would be great if it were possible to restrict the 'mark as read' function to just the • button and the 'm' key to avoid missing articles.4 votes -
Show a count for total items in tags
Tagged items are very likely read by the user already, before they are tagged - so unless you mark them as unread after tagging they won't show up in the tagged item count. And then they also show up in the usual feed folders though they've already been dealt with. Wouldn't it make sense for the tag folders to show a count of total items?
Mr.Reader uses this approach, it's a lot more helpful IMO. If you must show unread count within tags it could be shown in as total items/unread items. I'd personally prefer just the total count showing.

Maintain empty tag names
The service deletes the tag name when the tag has no more items. When Mr.Reader syncs, the tag name is deleted there too. This forces users to enter the same tag name everytime an item needs to use that tag. This isn't standard behaviour.

Implement some kind of inline translation
In Google Reader i was subscribed to a lot of foreign feeds (German,Spanish,Italian,French,Japanese,Chinese,..) which Google automatically translated into English. It's the only feature I miss from BazQux Reader.
4 votesNot inline but it’s now possible to send article content to Google Translate http://blog.bazqux.com/2013/10/drag-and-drop-subscriptions-reordering.html

Right cursor to mark current message read and move to next unread
When using my MacBook it's more comfortable to use the right cursor than the letter I, because the cursor keys are on the bottom right.

Fuzzy matching for feed selection (the dd) dialog.
Instead of showing all subscriptions that contain entered word as a sub-string, do case-insensitive distance-scored fuzzy matching instead.

Have an indicator for high volume feeds
The 500 entry limit per feed means that for high volume feeds (e.g. The Verge, Gizmodo etc), only about 2-odd weeks worth of feed items are really available. In other words, if a post has been specifically kept as unread for more than 2 weeks for such feeds (for whatever reason), it will be marked as read and "lost". A high volume indicator would tell subscribers to be more cognizant of feed limits in such feeds.
I've also voted up increasing the feed limit. In the meanwhile, this should help a little

Some switch to quickly disable all images loading and a similar option for feed
The switch will be very useful for slow or high-cost connections like mobile.
The feed option will help to skip "attention-attractive-only" images loading in favor of fast switching from one item to another. For example, the top.rbc.ru feed contains very large images not very useful for just news reading.

Subscribe to Private Lists in Twitter
Support for subscribing to Twitter lists is great, but it only works with public lists. I would like to authenticate my Twitter account in BazQux and be able to subscribe to the private lists created by me.

Import Saved from Feedly
I want to completely move to BazQux, but Feedly has the list of articles saved to read later, and I don't know how to move it to BazQux.
4 votesUnfortunately, Feedly do not allow to use their API to export data.
Perhaps you could try to use their DropBox integration to save your items (although I’m not sure whether it will be convenient to read it).
