Ability to mute feeds
Sometimes I get fed up with the number entries that show up in my account each day, particularly from certain high-volume feeds.
I'm still interested in their content, but sometimes I just want a break.
I don't want to unsubscribe from the feeds because I don't want to lose the feed URLs.
I wish there was a way to mute feeds (marking them as read so they don't show up in the "Latest" section or my client).
I would also love an optional time period for which the feeds should un-mute themselves (so that I don't have to remember to un-mute them).

I would really need this feature for some twitter feeds!!!
I wish to keep these twitter feeds, but don´t want frequent twitter postings to overload the timeline.... -
You can mute feed using filters. Select feed, search for "*" (everything), click "New filter" and then "Hide found items".
To un-mute feed go to settings => "Filters & smart streams" (or press 'w') and then edit or delete filter.
To mute many feeds you can edit filter and select all the feeds you need to mute.
