Offer Traditional User Account Registration
Please offer a traditional user account registration with Email/Password.
The options to login via FB, Google, Twitter or OpenID creates a dependency on another service - not so good after we learned how easy e.g. Google kicked us out.
Also, I do not want to give my email/personal details to a central location or trust them with my password (hello NSA :-).

Telegram channels
Subscription to telegram channels
97 votesDone.
Channels are fetched using scraping of t.me/s… web pages. Some channels (mostly music related) are not available on those pages.
Perhaps, some elements aren’t scraped correctly yet.
Please, test and report channels and posts that aren’t shown well.
Russian users of Telegram, please, read how government and corporations control most popular channels
https://www.proekt.media/narrative/telegram-kanaly/
I strongly recommend to not read news in Telegram. Read professional journalists: novayagazeta.ru, meduza.io or resources which post many opinions like echo.msk.ru -

Scroll wheel should not change article focus
Currently, operating the scroll wheel moves the article focus. The scroll wheel should move the list view without changing the "cursor" position.
60 votesI think that current behavior solves 90% of the problem and keeps marking items read on scroll 90% working. So I marking this request as completed.
Previous responseI’ve changed list view so cursor doesn’t go up while scrolling and go down only when expanded item is almost completely scrolled out of screen.
So marking items read on scroll still works and cursor doesn’t jump to top item while scrolling.
Other view modes are unaffected (and in mixed view cursor “locks” on list view items as described above).
Please check. Does this new behavior work for you?

More keyboard commands
I'd like to be able to read all my news by keyboard commands alone, like I could with the original Google Reader. A lot of things are implemented, but many are not.
For instance, I cannot navigate between feeds like I could on Google Reader with Shift-p/n commands.
Google Reader offered the following commands:
Navigation
j/k: next/previous item
space: next item or page
<Shift> + space: previous item or page
n/p: item scan down/up (list only)
<Shift> + n/p: next/previous subscription
<Shift> + x: expand folder
<Shift> + o: open subscription or folder
Application
r: refresh
f: toggle full screen…59 votesAlmost all of them are now implemented

Since ‘g’ is already busy for Readability I’ve changed “g then ..” to “d then ..”. It’s actually even easier, since your don’t need to move finger. -
Fully implement Pocket API.
Currently the Pocket share service isn't using the API. So you get directed to a pocket edit screen when you click it, which you then have to close. This takes away from the 'one click, read later' aspect of the service.

Add some date ranges to 'mark all as read'.
Google reader has a drop down button on its 'mark all as read' that lets you set a date range. "'All items, items older than a day, items older than a week". I miss that on BazQux.

IFTTT Channel
It would be great to see an IFTTT Chanel added to allow IFTTT to interact with our bazqux subscriptions. Reader had this, Feedly has it now, it might be easy to work with IFTTT to implement a channel based on the Reader channel.
46 votesIt’s now possible to use IFTTT with new public feed feature

Larger message font
Currently the message font is a bit small (for me). It would be nice if you can set a minimal font size for the message (only the message, not the whole page).
38 votesIt’s now possible to change font size by using – = or _ + keyboard shortcuts

Mark all above or below as read in list view mode
In list it would be nice to have a possibility to mark all above or below as read. In google reader there was a greasmonkey script and extensions for it.

Virtual folders (a.k.a. Smart Search/Smart Folders/Folder Watch)
Enable user to create folders based on search criteria. Virtual folders update automatically as new items arrive in feeds. Virtual folders can search single/selected feed(s) or all feeds.
Example:
Search: Nikon OR Canon
Search in: Folder:Technology
Save search as folder: Camera researchSimilar feature implemented in FeedWrangler, FeedDemon

Automatic dark/light mode switching
I'm using macOS, which can automatically switch to dark mode at certain times (by set time frames).
Many native apps will then also switch automatically.
It would be nice if BazQuz would do that also. Eg. there are already quite a number of websites who do that; eg. https://www.macstories.net
27 votesDone.
Reader should automatically switch to dark theme now. And you could choose theme for dark and light mode separately (theme switcher will select theme for dark mode when OS is set to dark mode and vice versa).
