  1. Updated articles

    A question regarding updated/edited articles.
    How are they handled after marked as read? Do they reappear as unread again or will I never know about the changes unless I stumble over them again or check them manually?

    Articles are just updated and do not marked as unread.

    Most article updates are typos or changed views/likes/comments count, or even some tracking URL change (completely invisible). For each two new posts there is an updated one.

    To not overwhelm users with unnecessary information updates are not displayed.

    If there is some post where you expect interesting updates you could try to star it and check manually.

  2. Smaller steps for resizing fonts

    BazQux has a nices shortcut for resizing the article font (- and =). Only problem is that the steps are too large for my taste. The standard font size is too small, but when I increase it with = then its a bit tool large.

  4. Link or change account type

    I would like to be able to change or link different logins. Currently you are out of luck, if your login account that your Bazqux profile is linked to, is closed. (Which soon happens to me, as my myopenid.com is already officially closed)
    If one could link several profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, OpenID) as a log in, it would be very nice.

  5. Offer Traditional User Account Registration

    Please offer a traditional user account registration with Email/Password.

    The options to login via FB, Google, Twitter or OpenID creates a dependency on another service - not so good after we learned how easy e.g. Google kicked us out.

    Also, I do not want to give my email/personal details to a central location or trust them with my password (hello NSA :-).

  6. Mark all above or below as read in list view mode

    In list it would be nice to have a possibility to mark all above or below as read. In google reader there was a greasmonkey script and extensions for it.

  7. Resize width of left panel

    For shrink empty fields in the left panel let a user to resize it's width. Shortcuts: "w" for more width, "shift+w" for less width. Any small step will be ideal (i.e. 10px or 5%). And mouse draging of couse need.

    Done.

    By default only wall owner posts are shown. Use foreign_posts=1 option (e.g. subscribe to vk.com/my_group?foreign_posts=1 ) to get them.

    Discontinued vkontakte-feed feeds are handled automatically and should work again.

  9. Facebook Videos (again)

    Some Facebook videos are not getting embedded anymore again. There are two different cases apparently.

  10. Twitter Update Interval

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears to be the case that Twitter feeds work with an update interval of one hour.

    I have two active Twitter lists I'm subscribed to that, according to the fetching pattern, should get updated every -30 min, but after manually monitoring them once in a while, I always end up getting the feeling that the update interval is set to a fixed whole hour because the following unread tweet shows me the 1h stamp every time which also matches the time of the tweet after checking the original post.

  13. Handle longer tweets

    Twitter's new longer tweets don't show up completely in BazQux. The text either cuts off with "..." or the posted link goes to the tweet on twitter.com rather than the actual link URL.

  14. Filter by image type

    Hi!
    Using filters we can use img:true to filter only feeds with images.
    Now, my question is, any chance to filter by image type?

    Example: gif:true

    In my particular case, I want view only GIFs in Tumblr feeds.

    Done. But there are many problems:

    • Private groups are not available.
    • Content of most shared posts is not reported by Facebook API (so many wall posts are just empty).
    • Subscribing to group with name (/groups/GroupName instead of /groups/1234) is currently impossible (you need to look into page source for fb://group/1234 and replace GroupName with numeric ID).

  16. Hide the subscription folder with a button (rather than a keyboard shortcut)

    I often use Bazqux on my cellphone, browsing to the website (I 'm not using an App, because as far as I know, no Android reader apps can display the comments.
    I would like to use full screen mode, but it's only possible by using the "F" key.. and.. as I said.. I'm on a cellphone (or a tablet...)

  17. Twitter images

    A while back Twitter implemented the feature to upload up to 4 images at once in a Tweet. On Twitter you can also see a grid preview of the uploaded images. Would it be possible to implement such a preview on BazQux as well? Right now you always see only one image showing, so you never know whether there's more unless you open the Tweet in a new tab.

  18. Allow smartstreams to be "locked" to the top

    When I reorder the subscriptions alphabetically, I have to take all of my smartstream filters and move them back to the top. It would be nice if they were locked to the top. Thanks!

  19. Mark as read on jump

    Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be more efficient and comfortable if skipped over articles would be marked as read automatically? Especially regarding the expanded view and assuming mark as read on scroll is enabled.

    Best example is a Twitter timeline. Most of the time you have small message boxes so you end up skipping through them by clicking on links or opening tweets in new tabs, and everytime you do it, it leaves tweets that you actually have read but haven't marked as such (by manually scrolling through them) as unread, which often leads to confusion or simply…

  20. Twitter quotes

    Me and Twitter again...

    Since it directly regarding Twitter, I thought it might be workable. Twitter links or quotes are shown as links on BazQux and not as embed preview as you can see it on Twitter. Just wanted to let you know, but of course it would be nice if that worked on BazQux as well.
