  2. Random read mode

I have rarely the time to read all the articles, so at this time my unread count is about 5000. By standard you can read the articles sorted by publication date, so I'll never achieve to read the ones at the end of the list.

It would therefore be nice to have a random reading list, so that old and new articles are sort of mixed. That way I will finally read those articles who now I will never reach ....

  4. Import Saved from Feedly

I want to completely move to BazQux, but Feedly has the list of articles saved to read later, and I don't know how to move it to BazQux.

Unfortunately, Feedly do not allow to use their API to export data.

Perhaps you could try to use their DropBox integration to save your items (although I’m not sure whether it will be convenient to read it).

  5. Allow mark all as unread

When I subscribe to a new blog, older entries are marked read. Often I want to browse the entire feed history, and currently marking all unread is quite tedious.

  6. Wait to mark an item as read until the user has scrolled to the next item

Instead of marking items as read once the user starts scrolling, wait until they've scrolled to the next item. This way half-read items will still be "new" (if you accidentally close the window or open on another device).

This would solve https://bazqux.uservoice.com/forums/190752-general/suggestions/6383547-way-to-get-the-previous-read-post, as a side effect, and is probably easier to implement.

  7. Show comments to Dreamwidth.org blogs

Many Russian users migrate from LiveJournal.com to Dreamwidth.org due to censorship concerns (LJ moved their servers to Moscow).
Only number of comments is shown for blog posts on dreamwidth.org for now but not comments content itself.
It would be useful to be able to see all new comments as it is possible for Livejournal`s posts now.

  8. Mark all as read and jump to the next unread folder

    Hello,

what about the idea when marking a folder read, bq jumps the the next folder with unread items automatically (just like hitting space bar)?

  9. Duplicate Feed Filter

When doing imports of OPML files a lot of feeds can end up duplicated, especially when trying to keep youtube subscriptions in sync. It would be nice to either have a button to delete duplicate subscriptions or have them filtered out on import.

This idea came up a while ago in a comment section. Now I wanted to open an own suggestion post for it and use the opportunity to ask if you still plan to implement it.

  11. Ability to read email newsletters (using a bazqux email address where we can redirect emails too)

    Hi,

It would be great if we could read email newletters in bazqux.

An easy solution would be to create a username@bazqux.com email address where we could redirect emails too.

Support for categories and "virtual feeds" would also be very great (and needed).

An easy way to support this would be an email address with the following format:

    username+virtual_feed.category@bazqux.com

    What do you think?

    Best regards,
    Daniel

  13. Some switch to quickly disable all images loading and a similar option for feed

The switch will be very useful for slow or high-cost connections like mobile.

The feed option will help to skip "attention-attractive-only" images loading in favor of fast switching from one item to another. For example, the top.rbc.ru feed contains very large images not very useful for just news reading.

  14. Ability to mute feeds

Sometimes I get fed up with the number entries that show up in my account each day, particularly from certain high-volume feeds.

I'm still interested in their content, but sometimes I just want a break.

I don't want to unsubscribe from the feeds because I don't want to lose the feed URLs.

I wish there was a way to mute feeds (marking them as read so they don't show up in the "Latest" section or my client).

I would also love an optional time period for which the feeds should un-mute themselves (so that I don't have to remember to…

  16. statistics

    Hi!
I would like to see some statistics about the feeds I´m reading (articles in the last week/month, last time fetched, update interval) and my reading behaviour (articles read per day/week).
Any chance to get something like that?

  17. Way to get the previous read post

When reading with "Show new" selected. Making a misstake can make it hard find the previous post.
    Example:
    * Reading a feed with "Show new" active.
    * About half of the alticles are read, the second half is unread.
    * The user makes a mistake (close the browser, clicks a bookmark).
    * The only way to get back to the article would be switching to "Show all" and scrolling past all the previusly read post to find the last read post.

  18. Undo "Mark all as read"

Accidentally pressed button. If it would be possible to undo this operation even for a few seconds, I could be saved. Now I need to spend a few hours finding lost articles.

  19. Become a fully libre/free software (open source) project under AGPLv3

Bazqux could benefit a lot from the FLOSS community, and it could also be a big benefit back. Currently, NewsBlur is the major web feed reader and has a similar business model so it is entirely sustainable.
